The Red Devils have been hit with another injury blow with some squad members away on international break.

Matic joins Man Utd's growing list of stars to pull out of international duty Manchester United has been dealt another blow with Nemanja Matic pulling out of international duty for Serbia with injury. The midfielder joins Victor Lindelof, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw as the latest players to withdraw their participation for their respective country's upcoming matches.

As per Serbian manager Mladen Krstajić's revelation on Monday, the 30-year-old's plight is as a result of a knock he picked up in last Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Wolves in the FA Cup quarter final. The ex-Chelsea player will, as a result, miss the upcoming meetings with Germany and Portugal. The matches are scheduled for Wednesday, March 20 and Monday, March 25 respectively.

"Nemanja Matic will not play in Wolfsburg, nor in Lisbon,' Krstajić told the Serbian FA's official website.

"He played the last match in the club but did not stay in the field until the end."

Meanwhile, while the extent of Matic's injury is yet to be revealed, Manchester United has confirmed that Anthony Martial was forced to withdraw from the French squad as a result of a knee problem. The 23-year-old was replaced by Atletico Madrid's Thomas Lemar as the World Cup winners prepare for their Euro 2020 qualifying matches against Moldova and Iceland.

Relatively, Luke Shaw's ailment still remains a mistery while Lindelof reportedly backed out of the Swedish squad due to "personal" reasons.
