Real Madrid was serious when they promised a massive overhaul to their squad, especially since the club has already revealed their first signing for the 2019-20 season.

Los Blancos have reached a deal with Porto to lure Brazilian center back Eder Militao to the Bernabeu. The 21-year-old defender will join the Spanish giants for the next six seasons, and is set to help the club in one of the areas where they needed much improvement.

Militao will battle for a spot in Zidane's lineup against Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane and Nacho, while Jesús Vallejo seems to be living his final days with Los Blancos. He has also proven to be quite useful on the right flank when needed, giving Zidane one more option to boost his defense.

Militao joins Los Blancos after earning quite a bit of praise from fans and experts in his first season with Porto. The Brazilian starlet has been named the best defender in the Primeira Liga for four months in a row. Surprisingly, the footballer is yet to play his 100th professional game, something that could happen when he joins Los Blancos.
