Los Blancos aren't the only ones Messi has failed to score against in the Copa del Rey, however. Out of the 24 teams La Pulga has faced in this competition, he has only failed to score against two sides, one being Los Merengues and the other Gramanet.
However, Leo faced the latter team way back in November 2004 when he was a mere up-and-coming talent. Regardless, he will be keen on adding to his tally of 50 cup goals.
Santiago Bernabeu has been the 31-year-old's preferred ground in El Clasico, having scored 15 of his 26 goals in the away games. And given that he enters this clash on the back of that mesmorizing performance against Sevilla, he might just put an end to this awful record.
