The former Brazilian footballer was scheduled to appear in a sports summit in Dubai, but immigration authorities in his home country denied his requests.

Retired football ace Ronaldinho is not enjoying life right now, as the former Barcelona ace needs to solve some problems with the Brazilian Internal Revenue Service.

The former Ballon D'Or winner was banned from leaving his home country due to his failure to pay over $2M for "environmental crimes". Ronaldinho has owed that money to the Brazilian IRS for over three years, since he was fined in 2015 along with his brother.

The former player sparked the rage of judge Newton Fabricio by not attending his sentencing hearing, since he was out of the country when he was supposed to be in court. The former Barcelona ace returned to his country in December, where immigration authorities seized his passport in an effort to keep him from fleeing the South American nation.

This notion about Ronaldinho "not caring" about his sentence was supported by Attorney General Brasilino Pereira, who stated that the UEFA Champions League winner was "mocking Brazil's justice system" by traveling around the world like a tycoon does.

The Brazilian courts are yet to collect a single dime from Ronaldinho, since the player seems to be on the verge of bankruptcy. According to sources close to this case, the player had his bank accounts intervened, but Brazilian authorities were left baffled after finding out that "Dinho" only had six dollars in his bank account.

The player has been working with FIFA and Barcelona since his retirement. He became a spokesperson for football's governing body and also became an ambassador for the Blaugrana side around the world. Unfortunately for the player, his problems to leave Brazil will prevent him from performing those duties until he can reach a deal.
