The Special One admitted that his team lacked some intensity, considering that they could have won the group due to Juve's loss.

Digesting such a loss like the one Manchester United took home from Valencia is not easy, but at least Jose Mourinho was able to find the bright side to it.

Speaking in a post-match interview with BT Sport, Mourinho shared his views on the game, where he admitted that the team needed the substitutions to have his initial idea working better.

When referring to Phil Jones' own goal, Mourinho showed a relaxed version of himself, trying to ease the pain from a loss that relegated them to Group H's second place.

Following that interview, Mourinho admitted that the team had disappointed him from the beginning, mainly since he had to bring in players that he wanted to rest ahead of this weekend's clash against Liverpool.

"In the end my team improved when I made the changes I didn't want to make, which is a little bit of frustration because I didn't want to play the three players I played in the second half," Mourinho said.

Manchester United could be paired up against six teams in Monday's draw: Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, PSG, Porto, Bayern and Real Madrid. Only time will tell if Mourinho will remain as the team's manager once the KO stage of the UEFA Champions League takes place, since he's been under constant pressure from fans and experts.
