The Italian manager has had his say on Saturday's incident.

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has finally addressed the alleged racial abuse of Raheem Sterling which took place during his side's weekend clash with Manchester City. The Blues' 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge which brought to an end a 22-game unbeaten run in the Premier League for the Citizens was marred by claims that the City winger was subjected to verbal abuse by four fans at some point in the course of the proceeding.

In the latest development, Chelsea has indefinitely banned the culprits involved amid the Professional Footballers Association and the Metropolitan Police launching an investigation into the matter. In wake of the event, Sarri has condemned the action of the suspended Chelsea fans, labeling it as 'disgusting'.

"First of all I want to say that I condemn any form of discrimination, of course. I think that I have to stop here," Sarri told a media conference ahead of Thursday's Europa League group stage match with Vidi in Budapest.

"Because there is an investigation so I think it's better not to say something more. Of course, my opinion is that I condemn every sort of discrimination.

"It was disgusting. You know very well my opinion, the opinion of the club, but now we have to go on."

Sarri is expected to lead Chelsea to a comfortable victory in Romania following his side's heroics against Manchester City over the weekend. The Blues have already progressed to the knockout phase of this season's Europa League campaign after winning all of the five matches played so far.
