The Brazilian midfielder has explained how the fracas began.

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has cleared the air about what generated the training grounds bust-up between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba a few weeks ago. A footage which made a lot of rounds on the internet showed the pair in a brief exchange of words.

The scene is believed to have been provoked by an Instagram video posted by Paul Pogba in relation to Manchester United's elimination from the Carabao Cup by Derby County. According to Pereira, Jose Mourinho confronted the French midfielder– who was dropped for that game – because he thought he had posted the video as a swipe at the team following the defeat.

Speaking to Brazilian outlet UOL, the 22-year-old said: "We were winning the game 1-0 at the time of the video. "Then we lost the game, and people said that Pogba posted later. But he posted before.

"The manager thought that Pogba had posted later. He asked him why that had happened. There was a mood about it. These things were out here in England. But I have nothing to do with it."

Although the storm has calmed in recent weeks, Jose Mourinho has been tipped to be shown the door soon by his current employers. One of the reasons backing the claim is due to the fact he recurrently falls out with his players.

Nonetheless, Andreas Pereira has insisted that contrary to the mainstream narrative, there is no bad blood between the Portuguese manager and his squad.

"The relationship is good, it's cool. I have a very good relationship with him, with the players and he also has a good relationship with the players.

"We don't feel that pressure coming from outside. Everyone says that he's being sacked. We do not feel that.

"I don't usually have any English media on my phone so I don't get intoxicated with everything they say.

A tough test awaits the Brazilian midfielder and his club teammates when they return from the international break as they will travel to Stamford Bridge to take on in-form Chelsea.
