The Argentine legend was involved in controversy during the game between La Albiceleste and Nigeria, and FIFA seems to have had enough of his behavior.

At long last, FIFA is set to put an end to Diego Maradona's off-the-pitch antics.

FIFA's Competitions Director, Colin Smith, urged El Diez to behave himself when he attends FIFA World Cup games. His recent antics when watching the game between Nigeria and Argentina caught international attention, and urged Smith to ask the Argentine legend to keep calm when watching La Albiceleste on the pitch.

"Diego Maradona might be a football legend, but even he has to show respect to other fans when he is in a football stadium, especially when he attends Argentina's WC games," Smith stated.

"We expect all players, former players, staff and fans to behave themselves appropriately and respectfully.

Smith's comments were fueled by Maradona's display last Tuesday, when he seemed to be having medical problems due to his intense behavior while Argentina played against Nigeria. The cherry on top came when he showed his middle fingers to some fans below his box.

According to a report by OwnGoal.com, Maradona's behavior could see him lose a $13,000 fee he collects due to FIFA's "Legends" program if he keeps on displaying this erratic behavior.
