The English centerback had yet another night to forget in international colors.

Harry Maguire endured another nightmare in England colors after committing two costly errors in Monday night's Nation League clash with Germany. The Manchester United center-back had a night to forget, conceding possession twice to give the visitors the chance to go two goals up in their final group game of the campaign.

Ahead of the night's fixture, Maguire had his name booed by the fans inside Wembley. The selection of the under-fire Manchester United skipper had been questioned in recent weeks although England head coach Gareth Southgate iterated that he remains a key man for his side.

Following a rather quiet first half, the former Leicester City defender found himself in an uncomfortable position after giving away a penalty in the 51st minute. The Englishman failed to complete a pass in front of his side's penalty area and could not properly deal with the threat of Jamal Musiala who had picked up the lose ball. Following a review on the pitch-side monitor by the match referee, a penalty was awarded Germany's way and was subsequently converted by Ilkay Gundogan.

15 minutes later, Germany doubled their lead after a quick counter attack which resulted from Harry Maguire giving the ball away in their half. This time, it was Kai Havertz who curled the ball into the back of the net with an assist from Timo Werner.
