It was not an easy loss for Barcelona, especially when they had chances to turn things around. With that in mind, coach Xavi Hernández seemed to dismiss his opponents' quality and praised his team's performance at Allianz Arena.
Speaking to Paramount+, Hernández shared his belief that Barcelona dominated the opposition and deserved more, even if Bayern were capable of finding the back of the net, something that Robert Lewandowski and especially Pedri were unable to do.
The former midfielder added that his team's style of play has been enhanced by Lewandowski's skills, and any controversy surrounding his return to this stadium had no role in the outcome of the game. Nevertheless, the coach admitted that his team's lack of accuracy in front of goal was crucial for their fortunes.
