Last season's Scudetto winners and their runners-up will go head to head at San Siro in the biggest game of the Serie A this weekend.

The excitement in Serie A will be renewed over the weekend with more interesting match-ups set to take place at the respective league centers. On Saturday, all eyes will be on San Siro with the two biggest clubs in Milan set for an early showdown this season. Last season, the pair went at it in a dramatic charge for the league title and it was the red side of the city that ultimately emerged victorious. The playing field has been levelled once more and it will be interesting to see what both clubs can offer their respective fanbases as they aim to keep their impressive starts going.

Prior to the Milan Derby, Fiorentina and Juventus will be involved in an early kick-off clash. The latter will open their account in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek and will be keen on getting a favorable result to set the tone for the difficult test ahead. At Stadio Olimpico, Lazio will take on Napoli in another tasty clash. After winning and drawing two games apiece, both clubs will be eager to keep their respective unbeaten runs going and will pretty much make life difficult for each other.

A lot more matches that will drive the interest of naturals are on the card but, first, lets take a look at how the teams have fared so far after their first four fixtures:

Top games to watch in Matchweek 5 in Serie A

Fiorentina vs Juventus: After earning their second victory in four games, Juventus will take on Fiorentina at Stadio Artemio Franchi on Saturday as they aim to keep their unbeaten run intact. The Bianconeri were in their element when they took on Spezia on Wednesday night, registering a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Dusan Vlahovic and new signing Arkadiusz Milik. On the contrary, Fiorentina saw a three-game unbeaten run coming to an end after suffering a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Udinese on Wednesday. This weekend's clash will see the Turn eyeing a revenge after suffering a 2-0 defeat at the same venue when the pair met last season.

AC Milan vs Inter Milan: The Derby della Madonnina is, without doubt, the biggest game of the Serie A this weekend and it will be interesting to see what both clubs have in store for fans. Defending chmapions AC Milan will welcome local rivals Inter to San Siro after demoting them as title holders last season. The Rossoneri have had an 'okay' start to the 2022/2023 campaign, winning twice and drawing the rmaining two games as well. On the other hand, Inter has had a winning start to the season thus far, defeating Lecce, Spezia, and Cremonese, while losing to Lazio in the Stadio Olimpico in their first significant matchup of the new season.

Lazio vs Napoli: Lazio and Napoli will square off on Saturday at the Stadio Olimpico as they aim to keep their respective unbeaten runs intact. The two teams are tied for eighth place in the rankings with eight points each after the hosts were denied a third straight victory by a last-second equaliser in midweek. The visitors, on the other hand, conceded a late goal at the  Luigi Ferraris in Genoa and were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw against Sampdoria. Both sides have been tipped to contest for Champions League places in this campaign and they could well set the tone for how they would want the season to unfold with the result this weekend.

Udinese vs AS Roma: After showing glimpses of what they are capable of under Jose Mourinho last season, Roma have had one of the best starts to the new campaign league. The Giallorossi are tied in first place with Atalanta after winning three of the four matches they have featured in so far. They go into the weekend' affair on the back of an important win over newly-promoted Monza in mid-week while Udinese were also able to florish in their away trip to Sampdoria. Back in march, a meeting between the two clubs ended in a 1-1 draw and both sides will do well to get the win this time around.
