The Argentine striker did not hold back when talking about recent activity by his former Premier League team.

Manchester City's debut game of the 2022-23 season was a little bit disappointing, and a legendary player such as Sergio Agüero did not hold back when discussing the events that led to the Citizens 3-1 loss to Liverpool.

Speaking on his Twitch channel, Agüero discussed some of the most recent issues surrounding Manchester City, beginning with the "odd" transfer window that saw them giving away one of their most talented players to one of their rivals.

"I truly can't understand why they sold Raheem Sterling to Chelsea. Sometimes Manchester City have made some strange transfer decisions," the former player stated.

Then, Agüero turned his sights to the team's marquee signing: Erling Haaland. Judging by what he said about the striker, Agüero was left rather unimpressed by what he saw of the Norwegian goalscoring machine, as were some of the team's fans.

"He was too used to Germany. Haaland thought he was alone, then Van Dijk arrived and said "welcome to the Premier League'", hinting that he might struggle to adapt to a much more competitive league.

The South American ace is still recovering from a heart condition that accelerated his retirement from professional football. The player has revealed he could think about coming back to football if he is given a clean bill of health by his physicians, something that is yet to happen.
