A large variety of options were available for football fans across the country, and this week's viewership numbers will be a testament to that.

As the summer of football carries on with interesting games, the numbers for all television channels airing football matches have given us quite a few things to discuss. For starters, women's football in the U.S. is more popular than ever, with games for the UEFA Women's Euro captivating audiences with large numbers to brag about.

The presence of European clubs in the U.S. has also caught the eye of some of their supporters. In this case, Chelsea's fandom propelled the Blues' game against América to the second place in this week's ratings. The game was sorted out with a 2-1 score thanks to a massive goal by Mason Mount.

But while there are various alternatives for fans to watch, the top spot once again was claimed by a Major League Soccer match. The Hudson River rivalry between the New York Red Bulls and New York City F claimed narrowly the top spot for audiences this week.

Without further ado, let's have a closer look at those games that caught the most attention last week.
