The Norwegian star is gearing up for the 2022/23 Premier League season but Kun doubts whether he'll hit the ground running.

Every Premier League fan is eagerly anticipating the new English top-flight season, and one huge reason for that is the arrival of Erling Haaland, Manchester City's new megastar signing of the summer.

After a prolonged transfer battle with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, and Bayern; the Cityzens beat out the competition and secured the signature of the hottest young forward in world football. One look at his stats with Dortmund easily explains the excitement surrounding his Etihad Stadium arrival, having scored 61 goals in 66 Bundesliga appearances while assisting an additional 18.

And for the first time since Sergio Aguero, Pep Guardiola, who has already been dominating the Premier League, will have a lethal no.9 in his squad, having deployed false nines since the departure of the aforementioned Argentine.

Speaking of Kun, the South American legend gave his thoughts on Haaland and his move to Manchester City, and while many pundits have already placed their bets on the Norwegian winning the 2022/23 Premier League Golden Boot, Aguero has gone a different route, offering words of caution.

While the former Atletico Madrid forward is confident Erling will become a hit with the English champions, Sergio has warned everyone that the 21-year-old will need time to adapt to his new club and manager and thus might not hit the ground running.

"Haaland will take time to adjust to England and Pep's demands just like I did," Aguero told Stake, as per Goal.

"Haaland's is a very important signing. I think his goalscoring ability is proven. His stats through the German league and in Europe confirms this.

"Logically, he will have a period of adaptation to a league as strong as the Premier League but I think he will go through his own process and the results will be seen soon.

"I think that an elite player like him will know how to reconcile his style with that of Pep's teams. It may take a while, as it did in the beginning for me, but once he gets into gear everything will be simpler.

"I think he has the talent to fulfil what is asked of him, which are goals."

With Gabriel Jesus having moved to Arsenal and Darwin Nunez having joined Liverpool this summer, Haaland will face competition for the Golden Boot. Then there are the likes of Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, and Heung-min Son, three deadly Premier League attackers with vast experience in this competition.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see how Erling fares in the world's most popular league. With De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Foden, and Mahrez all supplying the Norwegian, it will be hard for him to not succeed.
