England have already booked their spot in the quarter-finals, but there's still one slot from Group A available. Will it be Austria or Norway to join the Three Lionesses in the next round?

Preview: Northern Ireland vs England

At this point, Northern Ireland will be playing for nothing but pride as they have already been eliminated from the competition. It has been a true baptism by fire for the debutants, who have yet to pick up a single point at this summer's Women's EURO competition. Despite their best efforts, including grabbing their first ever goal, they were no match in their tournament opener as they were beaten 4-1 by Norway, and although they did put up a spirited fight against Austria, there was little they could do as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat.

Northern Ireland will now face England, who are flying high after recording a record-setting 8-0 win over Norway on matchday two. The Three Lionesses, after a slow start against Austria, truly came roaring to life in front of their home fans as they absolutely crushed Norway and with a spot in the quarter-finals already secured, Sarina Wiegmann may opt to rotate her squad to keep everyone fit and ready for the knockout rounds.

Certainly, given that England not only have won all ten of their prior meetings with Northern Ireland but have outscored their opponents 54 to two, it should not be an entire shock if the Three Lionesses field a modified starting XI in this match. Currently on an eight match winning streak, they are just one shy of matching the nine consecutive wins set between November 1972 and April 1975. In addition, the hosts have kept a clean sheet against their last seven meetings with Northern Ireland; in fact, the last time the Green and White Army scored was 37 years ago, a consolation effort during a EURO 1987 qualifier in May 1985 during which they lost 8-1.

Several Lionesses players will be aiming to add to their respective goal tallies; Beth Mead, who presently has four goals, could possibly become England's top goal-scorer at EURO tournaments if she can grab a brace, while Ellen White is on 52 goals and could overtake Wayne Rooney as in terms of the most prolific goal-scorer for England's teams (both men's and women's).

Team news: Northern Ireland vs England

Northern Ireland: Simone Magill's tournament ended early after an unfortunate injury during her team's loss to Norway, but otherwise, Northern Ireland have no new injury or suspension concerns.

England: No injury or suspension concerns for the hosts.

Preview: Austria vs Norway

With England already secure into the quarter-finals, and Northern Ireland having being eliminated, the second spot from Group A will be decided after a match between Austria and Norway. Austria come into this game having kept their qualification hopes alive following a hard-fought 2-0 win over debutants Northern Ireland, and as things stand, will qualify for the quarter-finals if they avoid a loss to Norway. In fact, a draw will be sufficient, as Austria will progress based on their vastly superior goal difference.

Norway, by contrast, started off their tournament well by cruising to an expected relatively comfortable win over Northern Ireland. However, any joy they felt after their 4-1 win was quickly dashed as they were humiliated by hosts England, who scored eight goals sans reply to set a new record and leave the Scandinavian side reeling.

It will be very interesting to see how Norway respond after their crushing defeat on matchday two. Historically, they have done solidly enough against Austria, with two wins, one draw, and one loss from their four prior meetings. Still, the onus is on them to get things right, as Austria merely need to avoid a loss to progress, while Norway must win this fixture. Will their experience help them over the line? Or will Austria, in their second ever appearance at a EURO competition, again upset the odds and qualify for the knockout rounds?
