The 2022 UEFA Women's EURO tournament continues as four more teams - Belgium, Iceland, France, and Italy - will all be in action on Sunday, July 10th.

Preview: Belgium vs Iceland

Despite their relative lack of experience in this competition, Iceland will still seek to qualify from a very tough quartet alongside France, Italy, and their upcoming opponents Belgium. To date, Iceland, who are making their fourth consecutive appearance at a EURO tournament, have never progressed beyond the quarter-finals and were eliminated at the group stages five years ago, but with experienced players like Juventus's Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir and West Ham's Dagný Brynjarsdóttir, who have over 240 caps and nearly 60 goals between them, as well as ambitious youngsters like 21-year-old Wolfsburg striker Sveindís Jane Jónsdóttir, Iceland certainly will have high hopes of possibly upsetting the odds this summer.

Meanwhile, Belgium, for their part, are only in their second ever EURO competition but will be also aiming high. The Red Flames bowed out early in 2017 after winning just one of their three group stage games, but will fancy their chances here, especially as every point will be that much more decisive if they want to boost their own chances at getting out of this tough group. France and Italy will be squaring off in the other match later on Sunday so there is the possibility of either Belgium or Iceland seizing top spot depending on how that match turns out.

Preview: France vs Italy

Currently on a 13 match winning streak, France are widely regarded as one of the major contenders to win this summer's UEFA Women's EURO competition. Les Bleues have never made it beyond the quarter-finals in this competition, but with a whole crop of stars from powerhouse side Lyon, they will be aiming to finally overcome their hoodoo and make a deep run in this tournament. Corinne Diacre's team were absolutely flawless as they cruised through qualifiers, but could face a tricky test against an Italy side who have also been quite strong in their performances over the past year.

The Azzurre have had their share of ups and downs over the past few decades. After finishing as runners-up during the 1993 and 1997 EURO championships, Italy have struggled to reach those same heights and were eliminated during the group stages back in 2017. However, Milena Bertolini's side do come into this contest in excellent form, with just two losses from their last 18 games across all comps. During qualifiers, Italy were only beaten once - by Denmark - and despite the strength of their upcoming opponents, Italy clearly feel that they, too, have some players who could cause France major worries.

It is not surprising that the two teams are quite well known to each other; Sunday's game will be the ninth meeting between France and Italy. So far, the Azzurre have the slight advantage, with four wins versus Les Bleues' three, while the other match finished as a stalemate.

Team news: France vs Italy

France: No new injuries or other concerns for France ahead of this game.

Italy: Valentina Cernoia appears to have some sort of injury as she missed out on a recent training session with her squad. It remains to be seen if she will be involved in this upcoming game.
