Sterling agrees terms with new EPL club

DONE DEAL? Raheem Sterling agrees terms with new EPL club

June 27, 2022 By Oscar Rojas
Sources close to the negotiation suggest that it will be up to Manchester City to set the price tag on the footballer.

Raheem Sterling could be living his final days at Manchester City, as the footballer has agreed terms with another Premier League club.

The player, who has scored over 100 goals across all competitions for the Citizens, is set to leave the club after being deemed surplus to the team's requirements. With the team's permission to negotiate his future, Sterling has reportedly agreed terms to join another EPL side.

The team in question is none other than Chelsea, who have negotiated the terms of the footballer's contract before agreeing a transfer fee with the Citizens. The initial bid placed for Chelsea by Marina Granovskaia was rejected by the EPL champions, but sources close to the negotiation have revealed a new plan by the Blues to speed things up.

Todd Boehly, Chelsea's new owner, is reportedly willing to take negotiations personally to satisfy coach Thomas Tuchel's needs, which are none other than hiring the striker. Reports coming in from England state that Manchester City rejected a $26M offer for the player, which means that the North London club will have to add more money to their offer if they really want Sterling to join the Blues.
