The Emirates went up into flames right from kick-off when the Gunners and the UEFA Champions League titleholders clashed against each other in the Last 16 of the tournament. Bayern being the clear favourites, Arsene Wenger's men were under pressure to take each of their chances.
However, Arsenal missed a crucial opportunity to take the lead in the 7th minute. Mesut Ozil took the spot kick and missed it. His strike was on target but German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was up to the challenge.
