Getafe have not found the net in any of their last three league games. Can they clinch a positive result against Real Madrid on Matchday 24 of La Liga? Watch out for this fixture on February 16, 2014.

Getafe and Real Madrid will clash on February 16, 2014 in La LigaPreview: Day 2 without red-carded Ronaldo

Real Madrid’s 4-2 win over Villarreal last weekend assured Madridistas. The squad will now play their second consecutive league game without Ronaldo who is suspended. Once again, the spotlight has fallen on Jese Rodriguez and Gareth Bale.

The former has already been tipped as a future Ballon d’Or winner. He has earned the trust of Carlo Ancelotti, making 14 league appearances already with four goals and four assists.

“[Ancelotti] has helped me position myself better from a tactical perspective. He is a winner who always wants the team to improve, and that is very important,” Jese told Champions Magazine.

The youngster’s inspiring performances for the Spanish giants add up to Bale’s impact. The ex-Tottenham Hotspur talisman does not always play due to fitness problems but when he does, he makes the most of it. Bale has contributed to Real Madrid’s attack with nine goals and eight assists.

The key for the visitors on Sunday will be to stay true to their offensive tactics. However, Getafe will be looking to create an upset by punishing Los Blancos’ defensive weaknesses. While they have not conceded a single goal in the Copa del Rey thanks to Iker Casillas, Real Madrid’s Diego Lopez has conceded 24 goals in La Liga – eight more than Atletico Madrid and seven more than Barcelona.
