La Pulga will feature in season two of “Los Protectores”, a comedy drama popular back in Argentina.

Lionel Messi is no stranger to cameras, being one of the greatest and most popular footballers to have ever graced the beautiful game.

The Argentine is often behind the lens everywhere he goes, from shooting ads for the likes of Adidas and Lay's to being watched by millions as he does his magic on the pitch. However, fans can catch La Pulga on somewhere no one ever expected: a television series.

Yes, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner has done some acting as he is set to make a cameo on "Los Protectores", an Argentine comedy drama popular back Leo's home country. The PSG star will appear in the second season of this show, which is scheduled to air in 2023, meaning Messi will not be seen on cable TV anytime soon.

However, Leo's cameo has already been shot. Behind the scenes footage of the attacker on the set has been revealed by the director, with the film crew flying to Paris, Messi's current home, to record the Barcelona icon. Check it out in the clip below.

The Albiceleste captain will feature in the second season of the series which, as mentioned earlier, will not air until next year. Until then, the 34-year-old will carry on with his preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, having scored five times in a single game in their friendly victory over Estonia and being named Man of the Match in the 3-0 victory over Italy.
