The French champions have already qualified for the next round and will be hoping to maintain their top spot when they face Olympiakos in Paris.

PSG will welcome Greek side Olympiakos in the Champions League on November 27, 2013Preview: Olympiakos looking to pull off an upset at Parc des Princes

The Greek champions will be looking to pick all three points when they face Paris Saint Germain, a victory will take them on level points with the group leaders and will definitely enhance their chances of making it to the next round.

However PSG who have been unbeaten in both league and European games will be very difficult to break down and Olympiakos will surely be pessimistic of their chances on Wednesday. Les Parisiens  have won three of the four Champions League matches they have played this season and defeated Olympiakos 4-1 in the reverse fixtures.

The French side has a three point advantage over their counterparts and a goal difference of 11 compared to Olympiakos’ one. A victory for them will certainly guarantee them the top spot and help them to avoid European heavyweights in the next round.

In their last outing against Stade de Reims, Laurent Blanc's men strolled to a comfortable 3-0 victory making it ten victories out of 14 league games which extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 34 games.

Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been the cornerstone of PSG’s good form this season, the former Milan man has scored 16 goals in just 18 appearances this season and his seven goals in four European games put him only behind Cristiano Ronaldo in the competition’s scoring charts.
His antics have earned him plaudits from all corners and teammate Thiago Motta is one of his admirers. The 31 year old lauded Ibra’s abilities and claimed him to be a better player than Mario Balotelli.

"It's easier with Ibra," he said.

"I got to know Mario at Inter. He's a very good player, but he was very young.

"I'm more at ease with Ibra. He likes having the ball, which suits our style of play. When we're in difficulty in midfield, we give him the ball and he manages to keep it or invent something."

Motta further claimed that even though it would be very difficult for them to win the European crown this season, his team are definitely one of the favourites to win the title.

"It's not easy to win the Champions League, but we're now among the five teams that can win it,” said Motta.

"It's up to us. We have to play well when the decisive matches come along, that's key. We have the quality to win those sorts of matches."

Just like PSG, Olympiakos are also unbeaten in the defence of their league title. The Τhrylos have incredibly won 11 out of the 12 matches they have played so far and their 4-1 victory over Panthrakikos last time out was their seven consecutive win in the Super League. Following their loss to PSG, Olympiakos have gone on a 13 match unbeaten run, but it will surely be difficult for them to maintain the streak against a red hot Paris Saint Germain side.

Olympiakos also have in their ranks a striker who his in red hot form. Konstantinos Mitroglou has been on an impressive goal scoring run having scored 17 times in 15 games. The 25 year old was vital in Greece’s qualification to the World Cup scoring three of the four goals Greece scored in the playoff against Romania.

PSG’s record against Greek clubs should be a worry for Olympiakos. The French champions have never lost to a Greek side, of the eight matches they have played the capital club have won seven and drawn just one. Furthermore PSG are at an astounding run at home turf and are currently undefeated in 27 home matches.

Olympiakos however have fared well against French teams in away fixtures. Of the 17 matches they have played the Greek giants have won 15 and drawn the other two. Furthermore Kokkinoi  emerged victories in both of their last two away fixtures against French oppositions.
