The Man City talisman was unplayable in his side's big win over Wolves on Wednesday night.

Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne was the star of the show in Wednesday night's massive win over Wolves as the Citizens took another massive leap towards retaining their Premier League crown. The Belgian playmaker hit a hat-trick in 24 minutes in the first half, dropped Haaland's iconic celebration after his third, and proceeded to score a fourth as Pep Guardiola's men ended the night with a 5-1 victory at the Molineux.

The 'De Bruyne Show' began inside the seventh minute when the City talisman opened the floodgates by breaking the deadlock. The 30-year-old midfielder started the move and also finished it off by running onto Bernardo Silva's pass to put it past Jose Sa in the Wolves post with his weaker foot. Four minutes later, his compatriot Leander Dendoncker levelled the scoring to give the visitors the hope of a potential comeback.

De Bruyne was called into action again in the 16th minute, restoring City's lead with his weaker left foot once more by getting on the end of a rebound after Jose Sa beat Raheem Sterling to his pass. In the 24th minute, the Belgium international found himself at the edge of the visitor's penalty area and curled the ball into the bottom corner for his third of the night, become the player with the third fastest hat-trick in Premier League history.

He crowned the goal in style by mimicking the meditation celebration of Man City's new signing Erling Haaland and proceeded to score his fourth goal of the night by finishing off Phil Foden's pass with a right-footed strike. Raheem Sterling subsequently sealed the win by tapping into an empty net after Jose Sa denied Joao Cancelo from close range. With the night's result, Man City moved three points clear of title rivals Liverpool and now boasting seven goals more than the Reds.
