The Blues completed a sensational comeback to clinch the league trophy for a record third-consecutive season.

Chelsea have won the Women's Super League title for the third consecutive season after beating Manchester United in a must-win game on Sunday afternoon. Two magnificent Sam Kerr goals in the second half inspired the Blues to a brilliant comeback win over the Red Devils at Kingsmeadow, securing their 14th title under Emma Hayes.

The United team took the lead through Martha Thomas in the 12th minute, but Erin Cuthbert equalised for the hosts five minutes later. Not so long after parity had been restored, Ella Toone pushed United ahead when his deflected volley hit the back of the Chelsea net. Ahead of the half-time break, it almost looked certain that the Londoners were going to miss out on the trophy to their London rivals Arsenal who were pushing for a win of their own game against West Ham.

However, "The Sam Kerr" show in the second half turned Chelsea's fortunes around, with the Australian hitting two goals to complete a comeback win for Emma Hayes' side. Her first came right after play had resumed in the second half, scoring a 'Goal of the Season' contender to make it evens. The second was equally a thing of beauty with the player of the year doubling her tally with a brilliant lob from about 25 yards. In-between the two goals, Guro Reiten scored her side's third to swing the pendulum in their favor.

Sam Kerr's final goal of the day was her 20th of the season, earning her the WSL Golden Boot for a second straight year. For Chelsea, the result made them the first team in history to win the league in three consecutive seasons. The Blues finished the WSL campaign on 56 points from 22 games, winning 18, drawing two and losing two.
