Brazilian ace Rodrygo came on during the team's time of need and delivered an impressive performance in a matter of minutes for Los Blancos. Two goals in two minutes for the Spanish side courtesy of the South American footballer were enough to send the game to extra time and to send Real Madrid fans into an absolute frenzy.

The first of his goals came thanks to a long cross by Dani Carvajal, which was put on the ground by Karim Benzema. Rodrygo reacted faster than goalkeeper Ederson to send the ball to the back of the net and give Los Blancos hope for an epic comeback. Moments later, Dani Carvajal replicated his cross from a couple of minutes back to find Rodrygo right in the middle of the box to score the crucial goal for Los Merengues.
