Both teams come into tonight's match with two victories, but one of them will have to surrender their perfect record.

Preview: Costa Rica Will Be Seeking Revenge After These Two Nations Last Met

It would be completely innapropriate to say that neither team has anything to play for, although both sides are into the next round of the competition.

With that said, dropping into second place could mean a tough test against Honduras in the quarter-finals for either side, but for Costa Rica, they will also want to get back at the Americans for what happened the last time they met.

In March, both sides met in a World Cup Qualification match in Colorado in near white out conditions. After having their petition turned down to postpone the match, Costa Rica was forced to play, and came out with a 1-0 defeat.

Los Ticos were clearly unhappy that they had to play the match in those conditions, and having lost, they will really want to come out on top Tuesday night in Connecticut.

For the USA to slip into second, they would need to lose by three or more goals, something that is possible, but highly unlikely, given that the USMNT is on a seven match winning streak.

With Chris Wondolowski in form, and a big crowd expected at Rentschler Stadium in Hartford, this should be a very entertaining final group match. Both sides have a 12-12-6 record against eachother, and they ironically are first and second in the Hexagonal stage as well.
