Last weekend brought the latest installment of MLS matches, and it certainly did not disappoint.
From goals to red cards, there was plenty of action to keep fans buzzing throughout, whether it be Los Angeles FC ensuring they remain on top of the pack to new side Austin continuing their brilliant start to their sophomore campaign.
Here's some of the key talking points from the latest round in Major League Soccer.
There's nowhere like home for Los Angeles FC
It's been a brilliant start to the campaign for LA FC, who not only are on top of the Western Conference, but the entire MLS table in general. Cherundolo's men eased to a 2-0 win over Minnesota United, which also helped them set a record in the process:

Ill-discipline throughout
This past round was also interesting as it saw a significant uptick in the number of red cards handed out, which is the second-most in league history:
6 - There were 6 red cards shown across the 10 @MLS matches played on Saturday. Only two days in league history have seen more (7 on April 11, 2009 and June 7, 2008). Misty. pic.twitter.com/jkhl8x7PvJ

Future looks bright for the USMNT
It was also a good day at the office for NYC FC as they picked up a third win on the bounce at the expense of struggling side San Jose Earthquakes. The 3-0 win also set an interesting milestone, as for the first time in six years, two players of this nationality got onto the score-sheet:
2016 - Keaton Parks and @chris_gloster are the first pair of Americans to score in the same @MLS match for @NYCFC since Tommy McNamara and Khiry Shelton in September 2016. Stars. pic.twitter.com/jM4kj58cbc

Impressive fortress built by Nashville
They might be one of the youngest teams in MLS, but Nashville clearly are making themselves at home in the top flight as shown here:
543 - @NashvilleSC's draw with the Union extended its home unbeaten run in @MLS to 20 matches (incl. playoffs).

Nashville has gone 543 days without a home loss, the third-longest span in days without losing a home match in league history. Housewarming. pic.twitter.com/zxkVHg9fGx
