However, Los Blancos will not allow themselves to be flattered by last time 6-0 result. Their focus is solely on beating their remaining five opponents no matter their level of illustriousness. Stressing the importance of clinching the maximum 15 points that are at stake, Brazilian international Marcelo declared:

"We are working and we have to be vigilant in the final part of the season. We won’t relax and we will keep working hard to win the league. We need to win all our games.”

Talking about this weekend’s clash against Real Zaragoza, the defender stated:

“We will face Zaragoza which is another difficult encounter because at this point, no mach is easy.”

Yes, they stunned Valencia 3-0 late in March and have since not lost on home soil. They’ve scored six goals and conceded only one in their last three matches at the Estadio La Romareda. Besides, they’ve lost only once in their last five fixtures. Contrastingly, Zaragoza had a five matches winless streak before heavily going down 6-0 to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. These statistics and comparison perhaps make Zaragoza look like underdogs ready to bite the giants. 

Only Saturday will reveal which team will get the better of the other and therefore win at the Estadio La Romareda. For Real Zaragoza, beating the Spanish giants will offer an enormous boost as they aim to remain in the safe zone until the end of the season. Real Zaragoza are just hanging on being only two points and two places above 18th ranked Tenerife. The anguish fate of being relegated is around the corner but the Blanquillos will prefer to distance themselves from it sooner rather than later.
