Real Madrid's Italian tactician has openly admitted he is still considering to change his lineup for the first leg against the current Premier League leaders.

The game between Real Madrid and Manchester City has given fans quite a lot to discuss in the hours leading to the clash, and these statements by Carlo Ancelotti will only increase the anticipation for the key clash.

The former Chelsea and Bayern boss admitted in the pre-match press conference that he is yet to make some decisions about his starting eleven for the UEFA Champions League semi-final. But contrary to what some may think, those doubts are not related exclusively to the names of the players he will be using as starters in the UCL tie.

"We still have doubts regarding what sort of lineup we will present tomorrow. We could go with three forwards or with only two. Added to that, Rodrygo has done a fantastic job and so has Camavinga. Both of them have provided a lot of energy to the team. That's one of our concerns," Ancelotti stated.

Then, the former midfielder turned his sights on the names of the players he will use for Tuesday's match. Judging by his words, it seems that Ancelotti is ready to start the game without one of the members of the team's historic trio featuring Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and Casemiro.

"Considering what we saw in our last session, Mendy is fit to play. We have some doubts regarding Alaba and especially about Casemiro. Honestly, we are more confident about Alaba's fitness than Casemiro's. If Casemiro is not fit to play on Tuesday, he will be able to do so in the second leg," Ancelotti added.

Los Blancos will get to this game trying to forget the memories of their last trip to the Etihad, where two mistakes by Raphael Varane ended their comeback chances in the 2019-20 edition of the tournament.
