The Red Devils lost their fourth consecutive away game in Saturday's trip to the Emirates Stadium, leaving their UEFA Champions League hopes in shatters.

The Red Devils entered the weekend needing nothing but a win against Arsenal, with the English giants visiting the Emirates Stadium in Saturday's early kick-off. Three points separated the two sides prior to kicking a ball, with Cristiano and Co. sitting in sixth on 54 points while the Gunners were fifth with 57 points.

Unfortunately, the 20-time English champions fell to another disappointing defeat, going 3-1 down against Arteta's young side. An early goal from Nuno Tavares, a penalty from Bukayo Saka, and an out-of-the-box screamer from Granit Xhaka sealed the three points for the north London giants while Ronaldo got on the scoresheet thanks to his historic first-half effort.

While Manchester United weren't happy with the officiating, slamming VAR over a few contested decisions, the visitors will leave the English capital empty-handed nonetheless. In fact, that result saw the Premier League heavyweights set a horrible and unwanted milestone.

Fans vividly remember that the Red Devils were thoroughly beaten on Tuesday in their trip to Anfield, going 4-0 down against Liverpool. However, Rangnick's men suffered defeats in the two away games that preceded the trip to Merseyside as well, losing 4-1 at Manchester City and 1-0 at Everton before the Liverpool clash.

As a result, today's 3-1 humbling at Arsenal was the club's fourth consecutive away defeat, something that has never happened before in Premier League history. It's just another reminder of how far the once almighty Manchester United have fallen.

With Arsenal sitting six points ahead with a game in hand and Tottenham boasting a three-point advantage with two games in hand, Rangnick was asked about his team's top four hopes. Despite there being four games left to play, the interim Old Trafford boss made a candid confession and admitted his team will not qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.
