The runaway league leaders have pretty much shut down the title race, but there is still plenty to play for as the 2021/22 Primeira Liga season approaches its latter stages.

As things stand, the title race in the Primeira Liga appears to be over, with Porto holding a very commanding nine point lead over the chasing pack with just a handful of games remaining. Still, there is plenty to play for, especially for the teams in the bottom part of the table.

Here's all you need to know ahead of matchday 31.

Primeira Liga games you won't want to miss on matchday 31

Benfica vs Famalicão: A 2-0 win over Sporting CP will have Benfica feeling confident as they prepare to take on Famalicão, who are winless in their last five. The Eagles will be seeking to close the gap on second-placed Sporting with a win, and could very well be just three points behind Sporting if things go their way.

Estoril vs Belenenses: Although they're bottom of the pile, Belenenses have picked up two wins from their last five, meaning that they still have a shot at escaping the drop, but first they'll need to beat Estoril on Sunday.

Tondela vs Vitória Guimarães: Tondela are among a crop of sides who are facing a tough battle to stay afloat, and having picked up just one win from their last five and sitting in 17th place, it's safe to say they will be desperate for a win when they welcome Vitória Guimarães this round. Meanwhile, the visiting side, who sit in sixth, have alternated between a win and a loss from their last five, so anything is possible.

Sporting Braga vs Porto: The hosts will hope to become the first side to beat Porto this season, but that obviously will be much easier said than done when the two sides meet on Monday. Sporting Braga currently sit in fourth spot, but will be facing a team that crushed Portimonense 7-0 and have looked largely unstoppable this season.

Boavista vs Sporting CP: Sporting CP's winning streak came to an abrupt end last time out, as they lost 2-0 to fellow "Big Three" side Benfica, and as such, Sporting, who sit in second spot, will be hoping to bounce back when they travel to face Boavista.
