Man City reportedly agree terms with Haaland

Haaland to become Premier League's highest-paid player as BVB star agrees mouthwatering deal with Man City

April 19, 2022 By Ali M.
According to reports out of the UK, the Cityzens have agreed terms with the Norwegian superstar and are now keen on wrapping up the deal in the next week or so.

It looks like the race to sign Erling Haaland has finally come to an end!

According to an exclusive report by the Daily Mail, Manchester City have agreed terms with the Dortmund sensation and are well on their way to completing a deal for the Norwegian striker, beating Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG to the world's hottest young striker.

According to the British news outlet, the Cityzens have agreed to a "suitable financial package" which would see the former RB Salzburg sensation pocket more than £500,000 per week, which translates to roughly just over $650,000 every seven days, which would make him the English top-flight's highest-paid player.

With that out of the way, all that's left for the Premier League leaders is to trigger the player's release clause, which is worth £63M ($83M). The English giants are hopeful of wrapping things up in the next week or so and getting the attacker signed on a five-year contract.

There was hope at Dortmund that the Norwegian superstar would stay for another year, but that is all but gone. If true, Guardiola will finally get the no.9 he has been craving for, having missed out on Harry Kane last summer in their bid to replace their iconic former striker Sergio Aguero.

Everywhere Haaland goes, goals follow. During his time with RB Salzburg, Erling was averaging just over a goal per game and since arriving at Dortmund, the 21-year-old has netted a whopping 82 times in 85 outings. Manchester City's rivals should be worried if the forward completes a move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

However, it should be noted that a conflicting report exists. As reported by reliable Norwegian journalist Jan Aage Fjørtoft, while Manchester is one of Haaland's likeliest destinations, he claims that nothing has yet been agreed with the player. Real Madrid will hope this is true as Los Blancos dream of bringing him to the Bernabeu instead. Make sure to follow this transfer saga.
