Top games to watch in the UEFA Europa Conference League quarterfinals 2nd leg

PSV vs Leicester

This will be the early kick-off in the 2nd leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League quarterfinals. Leicester failed to capitalize on their home advantage in the first leg, drawing 0-0 with the Dutch giants. As a result, the odds now sit slightly against the Foxes' favor. However, Brendan Rodgers' men were the better side in the early encounter, recovering from a shaky start against PSV. Fortunately, the Premier League side bounced back from that stalemate, beating Vieira's impressive Crystal Palace side 2-1 over the weekend.

With the 2nd leg being held at the Philips Stadion, PSV will have the home crowd on their side, and as mentioned earlier, the Eredivisie side enjoyed the brighter start in the goalless draw last week. Will Gakpo and Co. be more clinical in front of goal this time around? It is a must if the hosts wish to reach the semifinals in a European competition for the first time since 2004/05 season. Don't miss this showdown!

PAOK vs Marseille

Fortunately, none of the UEFA Europa Conference League quarterfinals have been won in the first leg, meaning there is a lot to be played for in the return fixtures. This is true for PAOK's showdown with Marseille, with the Greek outfit set to host the French giants at the Toumba Stadium. The home side lost the first tie 2-1, but in all fairness, they can count themselves lucky that they didn't suffer a larger defeat. Omal El Kaddouri scored a crucial goal for PAOK, meaning the Greek giants need to simply win by a one-goal margin to tie the game, and by a two-goal margin if they wish to make the semis.

Despite this, the safe bet would be on Marseille going through. Sampaoli's men have been excellent this season, with the French heavyweights well on their way to finishing second in Ligue 1 and qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. As mentioned earlier, Les Phocéens outplayed the opposition in the earlier encounter and can count themselves unlucky not to have earned a convincing lead. However, with Payet in particular stealing the show thanks to his assist and breathtaking goal, expect Marseille to put on another show for their supporters.

Roma vs Bodo/Glimt

Bodo/Glimt have been Roma's Achilles' heel this season, with the Italian giants failing to beat the Norwegian side for a third straight time, having lost 2-1 in the first leg. These two sides also met in the group stage, with Mourinho's men drawing once while losing the other tie by an embarrassing 6-1 score line. However, despite the recent defeat, their form has been lovely, with the Serie A heavyweight beating Salernitana over the weekend, meaning Abraham and Co. are now unbeaten in all but one of their last 11 matches in all competitions.

Unfortunately, that form pales in comparison to the visitors'. Bodo/Glimt beat domestic rival Sandefjord Fotball 2-1 in their most recent outing, thus stretching their unbeaten run to a whopping 38 games! To put this into perspective, the last time the Norwegian outfit lost a game was way back in September 2021. Additionally, in this competition, the away side are yet to taste defeat, winning seven and drawing four of their 11 appearances this term. Roma will have their work cut out for them.
