The semi-final fixtures have been confirmed.

The fixtures for the semi-finals of this season's UEFA Champions League have been confirmed following the conclusion of the last round of quarter-final matches on Wednesday night. Liverpool are set to take on Villarreal while Real Madrid and Manchester City lock horns for a knockout-game for the second time in two three years.

Villarreal and Real Madrid confirmed their places in the semis by registering respective aggregate wins over Bayern Munich and Chelsea on Tuesday night. On Wednesday, Premier League pair Liverpool and Man City joined them after their wins over Benfica and Atletico Madrid.

The former hosted the Portuguese side at Anfield and ended proceedings with a 3-3 draw but it was enough to hand them a 6-4 aggregate win as they had secured a 3-1 win in the reverse encounter in Lisbon. On the contrary, Man City held onto their one-goal advantage from the first leg and drew 0-0 at Wanda Metropolitano to eliminate Atletico Madrid.

The first leg of the semifinals will be held on April 26 and 27, with the second legs taking place a week later on May 3-4. The winners will compete in the final on May 28 in Paris. The two semifinals will feature the same country versus. country pairings for the third time since 2013.
