The last weekend in the Italian top-flight left quite a few talking points, which are led by Inter's desire to revalidate their title at Milan's expense. The nerazzurri returned to the top two with a victory against Hellas Verona, and with Milan's draw and Napoli's defeat, the team seems to be in prime position to win back-to-back titles in the Italian tournament.

There were also some headlines outside of the top three, with Juventus and Roma keeping fans glued to their seats with their games this weekend. Nevertheless, the real story came thanks to Ciro Immobile, who secured one more hat-trick to his name and kept Lazio in the hunt for a top five finish.

Milan are only two points above Napoli and Inter in the title race, but the nerazzurri could effectively become league leaders if they can find a way to win their game in hand. Juventus are six points behind the leaders and with their title chances fading away, which will force them to try and keep their form before Roma, fifth with 57 points, can catch up with them in the battle to finish fourth.

Milan repeat same mistakes as in disappointing 2018-19 campaign: The rossoneri saw their lead atop the league fade away with their recent draws, just like they did last season and in 2018. Stefano Pioli's men had not drawn two straight games without even scoring, and they couldn't have picked a worse moment in the season to replicate such a woeful display in consecutive games.

Juve keep spot among top four with fine away performances: The bianconeri may not be involved in the title race, but they are surely trying to get in there with their good showings away from home. Last weekend, the team led by Massimiliano Allegri claimed their third away win in a row, something they had not been able to do in almost a year.

Spezia vs Inter Milan:  The nerazzurri could top the table by the end of this week, and they will try to recover the top spot when they visit Spezia. Their hosts this weekend have only been able to win two of their last five, which means that Inter could be in for a good game if things go as planned for Inzaghi and Co.

Milan vs Genoa: The home team is desperate to snap out of their current run, and facing one of the teams battling to avoid relegation might just give them the option to claim three key points. The rossoblu side has only been able to win two games this season, and if they can't find a way to do so, then it will take more than a miracle to see them keeping their spot in the league next season.

Napoli vs Roma: A game between the third and the fifth-best teams in the league is surely worth-watching, and to top it all, it will be a clash between two of the most talented coaches in the league: Jose Mourinho and Luciano Spalletti. There are nine points between these teams at the moment, but something tells us that all bets will be off when this game kicks off.
