The Norwegian side's win over Roma was marred in controversy after a brawl supposedly broke out after the match.

On Thursday, Roma took on Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt for the third time this season. Revenge was definitely on the agenda for the Giallorossi after they suffered a shocking 6-1 humiliating loss during the group stages, but unfortunately, things didn't turn out how Jose Mourinho would have liked.

Despite opening the scoring, the Scandinavian side came back to win the match 2-1, making it the third time they've faced Roma and the third time they've avoided a defeat.

And tempers soon boiled over, with a brawl breaking out among the managers of each side.

While Bodo/Glimt claim that their coach, Kjetil Knutsen, was the victim of an "unprovoked attack" by Roma goalkeeping coach Nuno Gomes, some members of Roma's entourage see things differently.

In fact, Lorenzo Pellegrini, the captain of the Giallorossi has claimed that it was Knusten who started the fight, provoking Gomes until he lashed out.

"The changing rooms are opposite [each other] and Knutsen began to say something to our coach and then attacked [him for no reason]", he noted during an interview with Sky Sport Italia.

"It is an unpleasant act for competition and fair play. We're sorry because we came here with respect, but such acts are an insult to Roma and to the competition [as a whole]."

Given this latest fracas, it's safe to say that tensions will be especially high when the two sides meet at the Stadio Olimpico next week, with a spot in the semi-finals at stake.
