The 2022 CONCACAF Champions League resumes Tuesday with the Pumas UNAM hosting Cruz Azul at Estadio Olímpico Universitario on Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET. Champions League action continues with MLS sides Seattle Sounders and New York City FC clashing at Lumen Field on Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET.

Pumas UNAM vs. Cruz Azul first leg 

Liga MX sides Pumas UNAM and Cruz Azul will be their firsts to go toe-to-toe in the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals stage. 

Pumas is coming off a dream three-goal comeback against MLS's New England Revolution. The Mexican side entered the quarterfinals second leg down 3-0 after a tough night at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., in March. Nonetheless, UNAM rallied back at Estadio Olímpico Universitario a week later to take the game into a penalty shootout. Pumas ended up winning the shootout and advancing to the semifinals.

Pumas faces a fiery Cruz Azul side that currently sits in fourth place in the Liga MX Clausura table. The Machine took down Montreal Impact after a 1-0 home win and a one-all draw in Canada. Cruz Azul needs to keep an eye on Pumas forward Juan Ignacio Dinenmo, who leads the tournament in scoring with five goals.

Seattle Sounders vs. New York City FC first leg

MLS franchises Seattle Sounders and New York City FC meet on Wednesday night to fight for a spot in the CONCACAF Champions League final.

The Sounders demolished Club Leon at home 3-0 in the first leg of the quarterfinals and cemented their lead after a one-all draw in Mexico. On the other hand, NYCFC barely made it out of against Comunicaciones. The New York side defeated the Guatemalan side 3-1 at home and then lost 4-2 in Guatemala. NYC advanced to the finals on away goals.
