The young midfielder produced another sensational finish to hand Barca an important win on Sunday.

Barcelona wonderkid Pedri enhanced his burgeoning reputation by scoring a yet another remarkable goal against Sevilla in Sunday's La Liga clash. The moment of magic by the 19-year-old midfielder was enough to decide the tie which up until the point of finding the back of the net, had failed to produce any goal. Barca went into the clash with the Rojiblancos knowing that a win would lift them into second position in the La Liga table.

As anticipated, Sevilla proved a hard nut to crack and even had a number of good goal scoring opportunities falling their way. However, it was not meant to be for Julian Lopetogui's side who had managed a 15-game unbeaten run up until their trip to Camp Nou. In the 71st minute, Pedri emerged as the hero once more for the Catalans by scoring the game's only goal in spectacular fashion.

The midfielder found himself behind Sevilla's penalty box and, having received a pass from Ousmane Dembele on the left flank, produced a goal which was mostly associated with Lionel Messi in his Barcelona days. The 19-year-old Spaniard feinted an attempt at goal in quick succession to throw off the Sevilla players in front of him before sending a powerful left shot into the bottom left corner - a goal reminscent of the one he produced in the Europa League against Galatasaray last month.

Watch:

Pedri moved to Barcelona from Las Palmas in 2020 and caught the eyes of fans following a brilliant debut season where he registered four goals and six assists in 52 appearances in all competitions. Under Xavi, the young Spanish midfielder is continuing his upward trajectory and has a very instrumental in the club's recent run of fifteen games without a defeat. Sunday night's result saw them move within 12 points of league leaders Real Madrid with nine games left for them to play.

Barcelona now have the longest active unbeaten run in a top-five European league.
