The last round of matches in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers is upon us and with all the automatic qualification spots already secured, one play-off spot is up for grabs.

The South American section of World Cup qualifying will look to conclude this week, with just the play-off spot up for grabs. Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, and Uruguay filled up the automatic qualification spots and have already secured their tickets for Qatar, although the first two are still left with two more games to play.

On Tuesday, second-placed Argentina will look to get closer to Brazil atop the table when they take on Ecuador who occupy the third position. The Seleccao will take on Bolivia at Estadio Hernando Siles while Uruguay will face-off with Chile in Santiago, with the latter still retaining an outside chance of claiming a play-off spot.

Chile's quest is complicated by the fact that Colombia and Peru are better positioned to secure the spot at stake. Colombia will travel to Puerto Ordaz in Venezuela with the hopes of beating the bottom-ranked side and improving their chances of making it to the play-offs. Having defeated Bolivia 3-0 in their previous outing, they must now beat José Pékerman's side and hope that Peru does not get a win in their final game of the qualifiers.

The Peruvians look set to take on Paraguay who are practically out of the running for a World Cup place. The Incas are in fifth place with 21 points, only one ahead of Colombia and 2 ahead of Chile. Ultimately, a win in their own backyard should override any permutations as it will be enough to secure them the last ticket left to feature in the play-offs. Should they draw, they will be hoping for both Colombia and Chile suffer defeats in their respective games with Venezuela and Uruguay.
