El Tri are one win away from making it to the FIFA World Cup, but Los Catrachos can still hold them back with the right strategy.

The end of the World Cup Qualifiers in CONCACAF is fast approaching, and Mexico are still looking for a spot in the quadrennial tournament. The path to earn their ticket has extended longer than initially expected, and they will be trying to end that delay with a convincing performance against Honduras.

The hosts have already been eliminated from the race to play in Qatar, especially since they have not been able to win a single game in the Qualifiers. Saving face should be the only goal for the Central Americans, and their well documented rivalry against Mexico will certainly give them a boost to try and win their first clash of the Qualifiers against their bitter rivals.

On the other side of the pitch, Mexico seem to be ready to claim the spot to play in Qatar, but there have been some setbacks in their road to play the World Cup.
