The UEFA Euro winners will not be able to play in a second straight FIFA World Cup after being eliminated by North Macedonia earlier today.

Italy's elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup came as quite a shock for fans and experts, and some were fast enough to find members of the Italian side that could take the blame for the team's mishaps.

It is pretty clear that the first man that has been named as a culprit for this fiasco had to be coach Roberto Mancini, who was lost for words after the match came to an end.

"We tried everything in our power to win, but this was just one of those games. Our UEFA Euro run and eventual win was deserved, but right after that, we had a lot of bad luck. Everything that could go wrong went wrong for us. All I can say is that I love these boys even more tonight than when we won the Euro back in June," Mancini stated.

Despite the coach's words, fans did not hold back their criticism of some of the players they believed were to blame for this defeat. The first one of those was Gianluigi Donnarumma, since some felt he could have done a bit more to stop Aleksandar Trajkovski's game-winning shot.

The second footballer fans and pundits pointed fingers at was Jorginho, who's penalty miss in the previous stage of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers condemned Italy to be part of the playoffs.

Last, but not least, the man who has taken the most criticism over this disappointing result is, without a doubt, Domenico Berardi. Fans believe that the game could have ended with Italy on top if he had not missed a sitter before North Macedonia's late goal. Here's Berardi's open goal miss if you have not watched it before (Image might be geo-restricted).

As of now, there is no clear indication about what will happen to the team's staff, coach, or players.
