A decisive day for most of the teams involved in the tournament has arrived. Find out which teams could secure their spot in the FIFA World Cup this Thursday!

The international break will determine the remaining spots to play in the FIFA World Cup, with three tickets still available in the CONCACAF region and one playoff seat still up for grabs. With this guide, you will be able to know which teams have a fighting chance of making it to Qatar, and which ones are just trying to save face in these final games.

Thursday's games will bring us some classic matches, starting with the never-ending rivalry between the USMNT and Mexico. A win for any of these teams could give them the coveted spot in the World Cup, but any other outcome could still jeopardize their options to play in Qatar.

Before we get to analyze all games, here are the standings in the CONCACAF WCQ after each team has played eleven matches . This table will show you exactly which teams are closer to qualifying and which ones need to start thinking about the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Now, let's have a look at all the games set to be played this Thursday in chronological order.

Jamaica vs El Salvador - The Reggae Boyz are out of the race to play in this year's event, but El Salvador still have a slim option to make the playoffs. El Salvador must win all games and wait for Panama and Costa Rica to drop all points left for them, but beating their hosts on Thursday has not proven that easy for them, as they have not been able to score a goal away from home against the Jamaicans in three straight World Cup Qualifying games.

Panama vs Honduras - Los Canaleros have a major chance to secure their spot in the playoffs with a win against the last-placed Honduras. A win here for Thomas Christiansen and his would put them in the driver's seat against Costa Rica, especially with Los Ticos having to face Canada and the USMNT in this international break. As for Honduras, Los Catrachos are out of the competition since before the previous break, and all that is left for them to do is to try and save face by at least winning one game in the Octagonal.

Mexico vs USA - The biggest game of the Matchday will feature an under-fire El Tri and an injury-plagued away crew. Both teams need to win this game to secure a spot in the World Cup, since a loss could have devastating effects for them with only two games left. The Yanks have won three games in a row against Mexico, but they are yet to win their first World Cup Qualifying match at Estadio Azteca. Will Mexico add one more victory to their 15-game unbeaten record against the USMNT and clear their path to book their tickets to Qatar?

Costa Rica vs Canada - The hosts are one of the teams in need of a win here to keep their hopes alive. One loss for Costa Rica would complicate their options to play in Qatar, and their stats against the Canucks will certainly give them some hope (two wins and one draw at home). Nevertheless, the group leaders will want to secure their spot in Qatar with a convincing result, and if we have learned something from this Qualifiers, is that Canada's drive and prowess has seen them survive up to this matchday without any losses. Find out if they can keep their unbeaten run and claim their first World Cup spot since the one they accomplished for the 1986 edition.
