The Catalans have apparently gotten another top talent on a free transfer.

La Liga giants Barcelona have reportedly completed the signing of AC Milan's Franck Kessie, a report by Sky Italia has revealed. The Ivorian international apparently completed a medical on Tuesday ahead of his free transfer to the Catalans this summer.

Kessi had refused to sign an extension at his current club and there was no doubt that he was going to walk away for free when his contract expires this summer. The 25-year-old has been instrumental for the Rossoneri in their Scudetto charge this season and has draw interest from a number of Premier League and Ligue 1 clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, PSG and Barcelona.

All in all, it was believed that Barca were in pole-position to sign the Ivorian and there is the clearest indication yet that he could be on his way to Camp Nou. As per Sky Italia, he has already passed his medical to join Los Blaugrana, with the exercise apparently taking place in Lugano in Switzerland.

The proposed salary for Kessie by Barcelona is €6.5m per season plus add-ons for four years. The figure is in the same region as what was proposed by Milan, although Kessie's agent will be rewarded with a huge commission for brokering the transfer.
