On Friday, reigning Scudetto champs Inter took on Salernitana as the Nerazzurri sought to reclaim their spot on top of the Serie A table.
After a series of frustrating results both domestically and on the continent, the onus was on Stefano Inzaghi's men to get things right. Inter came into this contest having failed to wn their last four Serie A fixtures, picking up just two points during that time.
As such, Napoli and Milan had jumped ahead in the league standings, knocking Inter back down to third spot.
Well, that has now changed following Inter's 5-0 demolition of the basement boys, and as such, not only have they reclaimed top spot but also set several personal and team records in the process, with Lautaro Martinez grabbing a hat-trick followed by a brace from Edin Dzeko.
Here are a couple of them below:
Lautaro Martinez finally ends his goal drought...
425 - Lautaro Martínez' goal interrupted a 425 minutes drought for Inter in all competitions - it was the longest streak for the Nerazzurri since 430 minutes in January 2018. Unblock.#InterSalernitana

...as well as reached a personal feat following his second goal, which came in the 40th minute:
50 - With today's second goal, Lautaro Martínez became the eighth player since 2018/19 (his debut in the competition) to reach 50 goals in #SerieA. Wild.#InterSalernitana pic.twitter.com/2cRbpoTZlB

Finally, Inter's crushing of Salernitana also set a new team record:
10 - Inter are the first team to score 10 goals against a single opponent in a Serie A season without conceding a single goal (10-0 aggregate v Salernitana) since Fiorentina against Torino in 1958/59 (6-0 and 4-0). Rage.#InterSalernitana

Next up for Inter will be the second leg of their round of 16 clash with Liverpool, during which they'll need to overturn a 2-0 deficit from their loss at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
