An intriguing clash will be in store as Liverpool welcome West Ham to Anfield on Saturday evening. Both the Reds and the Hammers come into this match after midweek FA Cup action, during which each side experienced vastly different results.

Jurgen Klopp's men successfully overpowered relegation-threatened Norwich City to book their spot in the quarter-finals, but it wasn't such a good evening for David Moyes's troops, who were beaten 3-1 by a Southampton side who've been on a kick recently. With that possibility of silverware now out the window for the visitors, they will be firmly focused on securing a spot in the top four to get a crack at playing in the Champions League next season.

Liverpool, for their part, already have one trophy in the bag after successfully overcoming Chelsea in the EFL Cup final. After the match finished scoreless, both teams had to play through two additional periods of extra time before heading to spot-kicks, where they ultimately triumphed 11-10. Next up for the Reds will be a home game against Inter in the Champions League, and they've already put themselves in good stead for a quarter-finals spot after defeating the Nerazzurri 2-0 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Having won their last 11 games across all comps, many have started buzzing about the possibility of Liverpool winning an unprecedented treble. Although Manchester City are six points clear, Liverpool could halve that difference if they can beat West Ham before the Cityzens take on Manchester United in Sunday's highly-anticipated derby.

West Ham, meanwhile, won't waste too much time rueing their loss in the FA Cup, as they are still also involved in Europa League competition with a round of 16 showdown with serial tournament winners Sevilla coming up next week. They'll also have one eye on Manchester United, who are only two points ahead in fourth spot, and will face a tricky test against cross-town rivals City this Sunday.

West Ham: The visitors will be missing four defenders: Vladimir Coufal, Ryan Fredericks, Arthur Masuaku and Angelo Ogbonna, but midfielder Tomas Soucek could feature here despite requiring stitches to his head following an injury sustained midweek.
