The likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, and West Ham will be in action during the midweek.

The FA Cup is finally back! With the Carabao Cup having wrapped up over the weekend, the focus now shifts to England's other domestic knockout tournament, with seven games set to take place this midweek while the Nottingham Forest  vs. Huddersfield fixture will be staged on Monday.

Things kick off with Manchester City's trip to Peterborough United, but that is merely one of three games scheduled for Tuesday. Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal are not in this competition anymore, having bowed out in the previous rounds, but the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea will be in action, with both clubs taking to the field on Wednesday.

Here's everything you need to know about the FA Cup's 5th round of fixtures.

Top games to watch in the FA Cup 5th round

Peterborough United vs Manchester City: Premier League champions Manchester City return to action on Tuesday, with the English giants gearing up for a trip away to Championship side Peterborough United. This will be the Cityzens' first game since their controversial victory over Everton in the league, as Pep's side avoided conceding a penalty in the dying minutes despite Rodri handling the ball inside Man City's own box. However, what was concerning for the champions of England was not the officiating, but rather their performance, as De Bruyne and Co. struggled to break down Lampard's relegation-battling outfit.

A fortunate late goal from Foden helped seal the three points for the visitors on that day, which was necessary, given that Liverpool are hot on their heels. The focus shifts to the FA Cup now, and with the last two champions – Leicester and Arsenal – having crashed out of the tournament, City will look to reclaim the crown. Can the second-tier English club pull off a remarkable victory over Guardiola's side? Tune in to find out.

Middlesbrough vs Tottenham Hotspur: Spurs returned to winning ways over the weekend and restored normality for now. However, their upcoming FA Cup showdown could threaten things once again. The north London giants had lost four out of five games leading up to their trip to Leeds, but Tottenham were able to end that run, beating the Peacocks 4-0.

However, their opponents are no strangers to beating a Premier League side. Middlesbrough are in this round courtesy of an unexpected victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford. While there was fortune in that victory, Wilder's men will fancy another impressive result, especially given that they boast the home advantage this time around.

Liverpool vs Norwich City: Fresh off their Carabao Cup success, Liverpool resume their hunt for England's other—and more prestigious—domestic trophy. The Reds locked horns with Chelsea in that League Cup final, beating the Blues on penalties after playing a goalless draw in 120 minutes. It was a toe-to-toe showdown, meaning the Merseyside giants probably felt a sigh of relief, as Klopp's men look to rejuvenate their campaign and push for more silverware.

Who stand in Liverpool's way? Norwich City. The Canaries remain bottom of the Premier League, having won none of their last four outings. Additionally, Dean Smith's men recently met the English giants and were brushed aside in a 3-1 defeat. However, this is a cup tie and everyone knows a cup tie can bring out the best from any team!
