The Premier League club have parted ways with their current boss after their poor showing this season and have already lined up a replacement.

Leed United are set to appoint a new manager with latest claims suggesting that Marcelo Bielsa has left the club following Saturday's humiliation against Tottenham on Saturday. The reports that have emerged from the UK have indicated that American Jesse Marsch is the odds-on favourite to take over the struggling Premier League outfit.

After picking up a 6-0 hammering at the hands of Liverpool in their previous Premier League outing, Leeds were looking forward to turn things around when they hosted Tottenham Hotspur at home on Saturday. However, they barely turned up to the party with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min inspiring Antonio Conte's men to a 4-0 win inside Elland Road.

The setback made it six games without a win in the league for Leeds, putting them just two points above the relegation zone, with relegation fears growing in recent weeks. This prompted the club's hierarchy to expedite action in an attempt to salvage the situation. On Saturday evening, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported that talks were ongoing between lawyers of the club and representatives of Marcelo Bielsa with a potential termination of his contract key on the agenda.

However, talkSPORTS subsequently reported that the 66-year-old Argentine coach has left his role as Leeds United manager by mutual consent. In his stead, the club has identified former RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch as their top pick. The latter, whose arrival is reportedly imminent, replaced Julian Nagelsmann at RB Leipzig last summer but had his spell being cut short following his sack after just four months in charge. He won five games out of 14 during that period.
