An exciting month of February saw a lot of good performances, also including all the drama in the Europa as well as the Champions League. Let’s take a look at the top performers in the last month.

Suarez

The Liverpool front man continued his amazing form in the month of February, scoring three goals in the progress. The number of goals might not reflect his actual contribution to the side, he has displayed an all round performance, notching up goals, linking up brilliantly with his teammates, setting up goals and also contributing to the defense from time to time. His best performance came in the Europa League, against Zenit when he scored a brace against the Russian side to inspire a possible comeback.

Cristiano Ronaldo

The Madrid Talisman capped an excellent month, with a brace against rivals Barcelona in the second leg of the Copa Del Rey semifinal. The forward scored six goals in the month, which also included a hat-trick against Sevilla.

His most important goal was perhaps his equalizer against his former side Manchester United, in a Champions League tie. The Portuguese captain took an incredible leap to meet the ball and headed it past a helpless De Gea.

Raphael Varane

The 19 year old is quickly establishing himself as an important first team player, having started in four out of the six matches played in February. He performed admirably in both the important matches against Manchester United and Barcelona. He manhandled Messi and allowed him no room to cause much damage, for a 19 year old to do that on a consistent basis is really commendable.

Gareth Bale

The Welsh midfielder probably had the best month of his career, scoring five goals and assisting one. What was more impressive was the timing of his goals, most of them being scored in crunch times and decided the tie. This included a last minute winner against West Ham and the winning goals against West Brom and Newcastle.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Saint Etienne striker has been in amazing form, he has climbed up in the league scoring charts with 15 goals and is second only to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The 23 year old has scored five goals in the past month and assisted one.

His best performance came in a Ligue 1 tie against Nice, the Gabon international scored two goals from four attempts on goal. He repeatedly terrorized the Nice defense making 20 accurate passes out of the 27 attempted.

Stefan KieBling

The German international has been in a wonderful touch this season, having scored 16 goals so far in the league. The Leversuken man was inspirational for his side in the month of February and put star performances against Borussia M.Gladbach and Augsburg in order to earn important points for his side.

Apart from the goals scored, the striker has managed to provide two assist to his teammates and has made immense all round contribution to his side.

Notable mentions

Notable mentions include Mario Balotelli who has made an amazing come back to the Italian League and is on a good scoring run. Arjen Robben seems to be returning to his best and capped up the month with two goals and two assists.

Dortmund youngster Mario Gotze has also made good progress and rounded off the month with a goal and three assists.

Conclusion

It will be interesting to see if these players manage to carry their form on to the next month, with most of these players being key figures for their respective teams.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane will have an important week ahead, travelling to Old Trafford to face the Red Devils in the second leg of the round of 16.

Suarez who already began the month with a hat-trick against Wigan, will keep fighting to inspire his team to climb up in the League table. Whereas for Gareth Bale big things lie ahead, he is Spurs most priceless asset and will have to help them to secure the third spot in the league.

Kiebling has carried his team to the third spot in the league, only one point behind Dortmund, perhaps with his help Leversuken can outplace Dortmund for the second spot.
