Bundesliga round-up: Excellent Bochum shock Bayern Munich

Bochum came back from a goal by Robert Lewandowski to defeat the league leaders 4-2 in one of the biggest Bundesliga upsets in recent memory.

It was far from regular business for most of the Bundesliga big names with some of the latest round of matches producing rather bizarre results. The most notable outcome manifested inside the Vonovia Ruhrstadion where Bochum defeated Bayern Munich 4-2 in what amounts to the German top-flight league's upset of the season.

Robert Lewandowski had put the Bavarians in front with his 25th goal of the season early on, but the game was turned on its head in spectacular fashion, with the hosts scoring four first-half goals to seal their fate ahead of the second half. The result was welcomed by Bayern's league rivals as Borussia Dortmund will reduce the initial nine point-gap to six after beating Union Berlin 3-0 in their trip away.

Bayer Leverkusen also held onto the third position with a 4-2 win over relegation-threatened Stuttgart while RB Leipzig completed the top-four with a 3-1 win over Cologne. Let's take a look at the

Niklas Süle to join Borussia Dortmund from Bayern Munich: Borussia Dortmund has signed a pre-contract deal with Niklas Sule. The Bayern Munich defender's current contract expires in June, and despite interest from two Premier League clubs, he has decided to join their Bundesliga rivals.

In an interview with France Football, the Bayern Munich striker stated that he does not believe that the two youngsters will manage to dominate elite football the way the Paris Saint-Germain star and his Manchester United counterpart did over the last decade.
