Top games to watch on Matchday 24 in La Liga

Villarreal vs Real Madrid: Los Blancos cannot enter this clash completely focused due to one thing and one thing only: next week's trip to PSG. The Spanish giants will lock horns with Messi and Co. in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 this Tuesday, meaning Ancelotti will have one eye on this weekend's league fixture and another on their upcoming midweek European tie. Unfortunately, Real Madrid's opponents are no pushovers. Vinicius Jr. and Co. will visit Unai Emery's men and while the Yellow Submarine are 18 points behind Los Blancos, the Europa League holders are sixth in the table. In fact, from Spain's top-six teams, Villarreal boast the third-best defense, with Real Madrid having conceded only three fewer times. Do not miss this clash.

Atletico vs Getafe: Simeone's men are in danger of letting their season spiral out of control and will need a victory this weekend in order to stabilize. Los Rojiblancos enter this clash on the back of a disappointing 4-2 loss away to Barcelona, a result which saw them drop out of the top four. While their title defense is all but done, Atletico have a lot of work left in order to secure UEFA Champions League football for next season. The Blaugrana are only two points ahead but third-placed Real Betis are four ahead while second-placed Sevilla boast an 11-point advantage.

Espanyol vs Barcelona: Confidence is on a high, and rightfully so, with the Blaugrana entering this clash on the back of their 4-2 victory over defending champions Atletico Madrid. Goals from Alba, Gavi, Araujo, and Alves secured the three points, helping the Catalan giants leapfrog Simeone's men into fourth. Next up is the derby against Espanyol, with Xavi's men needing another triumph in order to prove that the weekend win wasn't a fluke. Will Barcelona beat their bitter rivals? Tune in to find out.
