Adidas have opted to drop Kurt Zouma following the outrage after a video of him abusing his cat was posted online.

The fallout surrounding Kurt Zouma's filmed abuse of his cat continues, as it was announced today that his sponsor, Adidas, has decided to part ways with the player.

The French international, who currently plies his trade for West Ham, was filmed striking, kicking, and menacing his cat in a horrible video filmed by his brother, which was then put on social media. The fact that this was done is simply mind-boggling, and to put it on social media, even more head-scratching, but perhaps we can all be thankful that this was done to expose the player's awful behavior.

Reports have indicated that Zouma has been fined by his club, yet still featured for the Hammers in their latest match. However, the cat that was being mistreated, along with a second feline have also been removed from the premises by authorities.

Today, Adidas announced they'd decided to drop the player after "conducting an investigation".

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of people have signed a petition calling for Zouma to be formally investigated for the sickening attack on the helpless feline.
